We offer both surgical and non-surgical procedures, including whitening and bleaching, porcelain veneers, tooth-colored fillings, bridges and dental implants. With as little as one trip, you can start your journey toward a happier, healthier smile.
We offer the following services/treatments:
Bleaching products brighten teeth that have been stained or darkened by food, tobacco use, injury or aging. In-office teeth bleaching takes place over a series of one-hour appointments at the office. First, your teeth will be examined and cleaned to make sure there are no cavities, loose fillings, gum problems or other issues that may be exacerbated by the bleaching process. A custom-fit mouthtray will be made for your teeth. Then the bleaching gel is applied to your teeth in the tray.
Teeth bleaching products brighten teeth that have been stained or darkened by food, tobacco use, age or injury. There are a variety of in-office and take-home teeth whitening products to reduce or eliminate such stains. In-office bleaching, also called chairside bleaching, takes place over a series of one-hour appointments at your dentist’s office. First, your teeth will be examined and cleaned to make sure there are no cavities, loose fillings, gum problems or other issues that may be exacerbated by the bleaching process. You and your dentist will make a custom-fit mouthtray for your teeth. Then the bleaching gel, a hydrogen peroxide solution, is applied to your teeth in the tray, sometimes after another gel or rubber shield is fit over the gums to protect them. An ultraviolet light may be shone on the teeth to facilitate the process.
Advantages of in-office teeth whitening over take-home whitening include:
- Professional supervision.
- Safe and simple.
- No sensitivity.
Dental bridges are natural-looking tooth replacements that help maintain facial structure, reduce stress on the jaw and fill in the gaps caused by missing teeth. Fixed bridges are cemented to the existing teeth and do not come out. Removable bridges can be taken out.
- Restore your smile
- Reduce your risk of gum disease
- Restore your ability to bite and chew
- Improve your speech
- Prevent remaining teeth from drifting out of position.
There are three main types of bridges:
- Traditional bridges, also known as fixed bridges
- Resin bonded bridges, also known as Maryland bonded bridges
- Cantilever bridges
Smile makeovers, or “smile lifts,” rejuvenate and beautify the entire smile by correcting “gummy” smiles, gaps between teeth, and stained, yellowed, chipped, worn, uneven or missing teeth. The procedure widens and brightens the smile, providing support to the lips and helping make the entire face appear younger and healthier. At the initial consultation, patients will be able to see a computer-generated “preview” of their new smile. A cast of your mouth will be made so the dentist can determine which treatments are best (i.e. whitening, bonding, veneers/laminates, crowns, inlays and onlays). In as little as one visit, patients can stop being self-conscious and enjoy the freedom and confidence of an attractive and natural smile.
Tooth Colored Fillings
The back teeth are noticeable when we talk and especially when we laugh. Seeing dark, unsightly areas of metal can detract from an otherwise perfect set of teeth. Now there are fillings available that are specially designed to match the natural color of the tooth. These directly placed, bonded resin fillings can make a tooth look like new, whether they are used for small areas of decay or to replace current fillings.
Porcelain and composite veneers are effective aesthetic “cover-ups” for damaged or stained teeth. Although some veneers are designed to be removable, most are permanent and are bonded very tightly to the tooth they are protecting. The advancements in technology have improved bonding agents to the point where it is quite common for veneers to stay active for twenty years or more.
